My wife and just bought a house in Glen.  Just seeing if anyone has any recommendations on people, or companies in the valley for firewood. Also a good propane heating company to install a Rinnai heater.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations

We've gotten our wood from Western Maine Timber in Lovell. There're pretty good.

Jesse Lyman Oil  and propane is right in town, and independent, for the space heater and propane. Pick carefully, propane pricing is all over the place up here.

Thanks guys!!   It is good to get some word of mouth suggestions instead of blindly hiring someone and being disappointed Looking forward to a warm house after a day of adventure in the mountains.

Roberts & Whipple in Ossipee have provided me and other friends with excellent, clean firewood for a number of years. A friend who bought a new place in Bartlett Nov. 1 had a good load delivered the day she called them. Driver said they had plenty of wood-- I helped stack and it was quite dry. FWIW

it's probably too late for this year, but there is a heating fuel cooperative which we've been a part of for 10 years that negotiates extremely good pricing on propane and fuel oil. It's called Our Town Alliance and the web site is here: http://www.otchoice.com/ You should give them a call to get the latest information. we always pay 15-20% less than the going rate.
