Late ice
« on: April 07, 2014, 10:22:13 PM »
I had the chance to go in Huntington over the weekend (april 5th) and I can confirm that Pinnacle is still awsome ! The quality and quantity of ice was amazing and the amount of snow was less than I expected...

Sunday we went for lower hitchcock... Still in good condition with a mix exit... The thin 1/2 inch ice layer on the top is probably gone today... But, hitchcock was excellent and so was the cleft...

Two days in paradise and I can tell you that up north we'll keep icing for a while... :-)

after mondays warm temps and last nights  rain and todays warm temps I would doubt that there is any safe low elevation ice left.

95% of low elevation ice is surely done. probably you could climb Willies and maybe Upper Hitchcock.

I heard that a team had climbed Odell, Pinnacle and central over the weekend (Apr12-13)...

Seems like we'll be giving a last shot to pinnacle this friday !!!!

Never give up the hope before June ! ;D

I'm sure Pinnacle is good. the other two may be snocone-ish by now!
