NE's Hardest Boulder Problems

(1/3) > >>

Reviving the old list of hardest problems around from The old list was last updated in 2003 and a lot has changed.  So far, I have updated the list for V13 and up and am working on V11 and V12 (V10 no longer makes the list as there are way too many).  Check out the list and let me know if I messed anything up or if you have any additions.  Thanks.

Did you get George's new V13 below Cathedral? I am not sure on the name. Hurlyburly? (when the hurlyburly's done, the battle's lost and won) or some other Shakespearean reference.

Only comment is the Fly at V14.  It has had a bunch of roped ascents; hard to believe it is really that hard (not that I can climb it lol.). And Jason's "ropeless" ascent came after he hang dogged the shit out of it on a rope.  Not that there is anything wrong with that since I do it myself on highball problems, but clearly not what most people think of as "ropeless" when talking about a boulder problem.

"Consensus seems to be placing the climb at hard V13."

If the landing was nice and flat, I am sure it would have more ascents.

Joe--- i'm pretty sure of at least one V12 in Kings Ravine...I forget who did it..?
