Need to get this thread back on topic.

LL, have you ever been to the City of Rocks?

City of Rocks is by far one of my favorite places to climb and I have spent a total of more than 8 weeks there. Sport, trad, easy, hard, safe, scary, that place has it all and some great camping to.

Exactly. What's not to like?

LL- get your ass out to the City. I believe you'd have a spiritual epiphany. The trad / sport would all merge and you'd become whole.

I would be pretty darn happy to get up any route on El cap. not sure if I will ever have the fitness level and abilitys combined with the funds and time off from work......

The west face of El Cap is really do-able in a day  ..its 11B or so but with 5 or so aid points,it's 10+ AO  The face start is 11A, easier than Western lady by far and the crux corner is about 3-4 moves.  Nice climb
