Gunks Guidebook?
« on: August 11, 2004, 10:14:18 AM »

Obviously it's a slow day at the office ...

Anyone know where I can get a Gunks guidebook?

Amost everything I can see on the web is out of print and difficult to find.

Thanks,
David

I ran into Dick Williams last year and he was working on a new, clearer guide to the Gunks. He was climbing all the routes in the Trapps and Near Trapps for an acurrate description of route finding on the ground and on the rock, gear and the actual rating of the climb. Last I heard it was either at the designers for layout or at the printers. Call Rock & Snow they may have more updated info, I forgot to ask Rich Gotlieb when I was there this past weekend.

the Mohonk Preserve head quarters has the most recent 'Gunks Select' guide in the gift shop.
