Lost: rope on Standard Route
« on: January 10, 2017, 06:59:27 PM »
Hi there,

My rope had to be abandoned on Monday (1/9)evening, at the bolts on Standard Route at Frankenstein due to a knot (I think) preventing it from being pulled down post-rappel. It's an orange 9.5mm 70m Petzl Ariel and if anyone finds it/returns it, I'd very much appreciate it (and owe you big time).

Please email me at ckulakowski@gmail.com if you have it!

Thanks,
Katy

I chopped your rope out of the ice this morning and left it coiled by the trail while working. Someone grabbed it, so hopefully that someone was you. Whoever has it will notice some nice cuts caused by the laborious chopping it took to remove it from inches of ice.

Hope you get it back. I think you may still be able to keep 55 meters of it or more.

Oh man... thank you Nick for clearing that out... would have been an eyesore all winter if it wasn't removed quickly.

Katy, if you had half the rope pulled you'd have enough to lead back up on. Standard by headlamp is super fun ;) Hope you get your rope back!
