Has anyone been to Champney Falls lately? Any Beta would help. Have a great weekend.

I'm pretty sure it's in good shape by now. it was climbable before Xmas and it's been cold for over a week.

I was out at Champney on Jan 1, 2013 and it was in. We climbed one route using 13 and 16 screws. There were 5 ropes set up by the parties that were there and we all shared our set-ups (fun).

Are you pulling my leg?  Dunno if it's THAT packed out.   You might need some beech tires for that mission?

Maybe these will get you there. :)

DWT: actually it's been done a lot. usually later in the season when we've had a rain or two to firm things up. cool picture BTW. one of the neat things in winter MTB riding these days are these 4-5" wide tires on a regular frame.

Went out to Champney today. While there was stuff to climb it was nearly to its potential.

was there as well. open waterfall way in the back, ice forming on its sides, middle section was fun although its seen a lot of laps, first section was a very thin curtain stopping about 6-7' from the ground, looks like April conditions, hopefully the cold weather will repair it or the weekend crowds will bring the beat down.

funny how a single word, or lack thereof, can totally change the meaning of a sentence... [grin]
