Nothing seems to be saying exactly where it took place. I gotta think it was under either Pegasus or Chia. The Frankenstein Ravine trail goes very close under the right side of Chia. I've seen snowshoers go by there many times. Frankly I'm always nervous walking back to my pack under there.

It is truly sad...

Tradman used to have this mean photo of us standing by a recent Chia Direct collapse. We all got lucky that day. AFAIK the section where you would be injured by collapse is limited to less than 100'. Truly an unfortunate event of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
