Post by: strandman on February 05, 2013, 02:01:18 PM
not to many folks have them 'cause the company is no more.. BUT.. I think the Merlins are the second best shoe  I have worn.

Anyway I just scored a new pair of merlins for $82 on Amazon  NICE  not many sizes left.. get them

The merlin is unlined so the stretch is about a size down ( 10 for a street 11).. I have some legends and the size didn't change much, same a s street for me.
Remember my feet are pretty beat up and I can't even come close to my old sizes

Sorry I don;t really know about the slippers

I went with street shoe size with my Merlins and a half a size down on the B3's. One of the saddest days was when they closed the doors on this company  :-[

How are/were the B3's, Grammy?

I liked them alot. I did blow through them in a season but was doing a ton of climbing in them. The thing I most remember about the B3's was on Vultures and I never felt so solid on it...feet edged and stuck like glue. I used them 99% of the time and beat on them at Rumney, bouldering and all day trad. They were pretty comfortable considering that I sized them down a half size from my Merlins...maybe a full size now that I think of it. They were a pretty solid product. Bummed that they are no longer being manufactured.
