Had never been out there before but the it seems the tree ledge for tsunami and cruise control took a beating over the winter. the dirt mat is all torn up and there are some precarious boulders/the ledge intermingled with the dirt mat. some of those boulders are not there any more. :)
and cheers to whom ever replaced the bolts out there nice to not chip rusty crap.

so you were just out there recently?

That is a great area, deserves more attention than it gets...

A fun outing for sure

yup al

I imagine the ice fall wound really beat that area up. Suprized it's not to wet there to climb right now.

Second that notion. Went out on Sunday for a beautiful day of slabbin.
Later in the afternoon a group of kids with backpacks showed up. Thought they were climbers. Heard the sound of hammer and chisels and was thinking this could get interesting. They were chipping at all the boulders at the base of the cliff and said they were gem hunting. Is this an activity that the forest service has rules or regulations about? They didn't stay long and left after about an hour.

Did an fa on rainbow around 2004, really fun overhanging corner/overlap to a runout 5.6 slab up to a tree ledge. Second pitch takes the steep slab directly behind the belay tree via thin seam 5.10. very cool area, it still has a ton of potential on the slabs above and left from the main cliff.

Yup, quite popular near the Mineral Site on the Moats, and below the Echo Roof area of Whitehorse Ledge, you can see some of the holes they have dug up when hiking the lower trail over to Ethereal....

Rock hounds can take what they want as long as they use hand tools only. I am a climber as well as a rockhound and can move a lot of rock with hammer and chisel and pry bar. Also I can repel down to inaccessible pockets on the cliff to find treasure

I have often rappelled down cliffs and found treasure-
Clean Sweep
reach the Sky
and sometimes I find treasure from the ground up-
Bit's and Pieces
Puttin' in Time
