Title: Black Pudding "Amazingly Fat"???
Post by: DLottmann on January 20, 2014, 01:19:18 pm
Al, the photo you posted shows it's barely connected at the bottom... remember 3-4 years ago when you couldn't get a full size cordellette around it? It may be fat up top but the pillar isn't fully reformed since the thaw....

It's been climbed at least 3 times...

climbed it last saturday, 1/18/2014. it was very well connected at the bottom, 8-10" thick at the least. we were second in line, another party came up below us, and another party below them. I'd be surprised if it got any thinner since then.

hoping to hit that one soon! Wish the temps weren't so flipping cold out this week. I have some time after work.  :-\

Go get it Grammy! I got served today, so there's a free screw in it for you. It's totally fat, I'm just weak

I got served on Angel Cakes years ago... and was able to down lead from the crux back to the belay and bail. Back up was building a v-thread to save the screw. Love finding a solid V-Thread right at a crux... "sport ice climbing" FTW ;)
