Description: The tallest mountain in New England, Mount Washington provides a wide range of rock and ice climbing in a spectacular setting. The weather is unpredictable in summer or winter so be prepared for any and all conditions. A majority of the rock climbing is in Huntington Ravine Ice climbing is to be had in Huntington all winter and in Tuckerman's in the early season before it fills in with snow.
Directions: Drive north on Rt. 16 from Jackson to Pinkham Notch. Park at the visitors center and hike several miles the Ravine.
