Greeley Pond: Journeyman Crag: Ice Routes grouped by Area, sorted by Name
Description: Located off the Kancamagus Highway on the Lincoln side. The climbs are on the West side of Mt. Kancamagus in the Greeley Ponds area. This is really backwoods ice and mixed climbing. You are COMPLETELY on your own back here!
Directions: Park at the East Peak Trailhead, 1 mile below the hairpin turn on the Lincoln side of the Kanc. Hike in the Mt. Osceola East Peak trail until you reach the junction with the Greeley Ponds ski trail. Turn left and hike to the first Pond. From the Pond the cliffs can be seen to the East, high on the West side of Mt. Kancamagus.

Hike toward the 2nd Pond. Halfway between the 2 ponds, break left (west) and bushwack uphill, aiming toward the bottom end of an obvious avalanche scar. Follow the avalanche scar to the center of the cliff. NOTE - The approach can take as much as three hours!
