Klettersteig Ridge follows the ridge and slabs to the left of the left-most corner. |
Klettersteig is an Austrian "fixed mountain route", similar to a via-ferreta in Italy. Klettersteigs and Via-Ferretas were the inspiration for the development of climbing routes on the SW Face of Mount Oscar.
Pitch 1: Scramble up the lower part of the ridge past a few small trees to a slab. Climb the slab and belay at a two bolt belay just below the next set of trees.(100', 5.4)
Pitch 2: Pitches two-four: Climb past the trees on the left, then head up and right, joining the second pitch of The Booklet Left and following it to the top.

Rappel the route, or hike up slabs to the top of West Mountain. As you approach the top, look for a trail (marked with cairns) that heads to your right. This trail leads to the trail that you approached on. Follow the road back to the Bethlehem Express Quad. |
