Rock Routes at Whitehorse Ledge: grouped by Area, sorted by Name


Description: An incredible 800' granite cliff that features every kind of traditional climbing imaginable.
Directions: From the north side of North Conway, turn onto River Road at a traffic light near the Eastern Slope Inn and head downhill under a railroad trestle toward the obvious cliff. Cross the river and turn left onto West Side Road at the first intersection, at the Shartner strawberry fields. Look for the sign for Hales Location on the right and turn right. From the south on Rt. 16 turn left at the first traffic light in Conway Village. Bear left at a small fork and go past a red covered bridge on your right. This becomes West Side Road. Follow this road about 6 miles. You can see a cliff directly ahead. Look for a sign for Hales Location on your left. Turn at this sign. Take the first right and continue past the cliff and golf course on your left to the climbers parking lot. DO NOT park in the lot up the hill at the hotel! Walk up the road and into the woods to the cliff.
