NEClimbs - information for New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont rock and ice climbers
BugCON 4: almost too intense for climbing, DEET required
4 out of a possible 5
Climbing Area Index / Mt. Willard / Challenger (5.11)
Directions:  Start in the same spot as Salespitch.
Description: Hopefully you won't explode on the crux!
Pitch 1: Move up and left to a bolt, then straight above the bolt (crux) and climb the groove above (TCUĂs needed) to a stance and rest. Step up and left past a couple of bolts and follow the groove/weakness up and right past two solution pockets. A red Tricam is absolutely necessary to protect this as it just fits the pocket. Continue up past bolts to a 3-bolt belay.

Gear: standard rack with tricams
Descent: rappel the route
History:  1994 - Paul Cormier, Trevor Hamilton
