Classic hard slab climbing in a remote area. All 6 bolts were placed free, on the lead, by hand! John Strand and his partners were masters of this genera.
Pitch 1: Climb up some black rock past a bolt (11a) to a ledge and then step right (harder) to a left facing corner. Climb the corner past another bolt and step right onto a slab. Make the crux iron-cross move and then mantle above past another bolt. Continue on some 5.11 face climbing past another bolt to get to the belay ledge and a 2-bolt anchor. (100')
